Shelbourne owners may never see return on €230 million investmentThe owners of the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin may never see any return on their €230 million investment in the St Stephen’s Green property. The consortium of investors, including property developer Bernard McNamara, bought the hotel in 2004 for €120 million and injected a further €110 million into a redevelopment and refit of the property.

Private investors, Lee County all eyeing possible purchase of beachfront propertyFifth Third Bank now owns Fort Myers Beach property worth an estimated $6 million. Unfortunately, the bank is owed more than $36 million. Unfortunate for the bank, but perhaps not for beachgoers. Lee County commissioners have discussed buying the beachfront portion of the foreclosed property, a choice piece virtually at the foot of the Matanzas Pass Bridge, to turn it into a park.
